an android app for enduro riders
CheckPoint is an enduro computer.
It is an android app that will help enduro riders stay on time throughout an entire enduro.
CheckPoint does the timekeeping calculations necessary to display the correct mileage at all times.
By keeping the odomoter in sync with the mileage displayed by CheckPoint, the rider will stay on time.
A separate odometer is required.

Possibles.
The next possible Check Point mileage is displayed at all times in the 'Possible' field.
A yellow alert 'Check Ahead' is displayed for 15 seconds prior to the time of a possible check point.
When safe to proceed, the alert changes to a green 'GO'.

Resets.
The next Reset mileage is diplayed at all times.
When a reset mileage is reached, CheckPoint changes the mileage color to red and displaya an alert 'Stop - Reset.
The reset mileage is displayed on screen to allow the rider to reset his odometer.
During the reset a countdown timer displays the time remaining before departure.

Speed
At all times, the current required speed is displayed.
The speed in display changes automatically when the next speed change mileage is reached.

Key Time
At all times, Key Time is displayed. .

On start up, the screen will look like this.


Pressing the Android Menu button will reveal menus.

About
The term 'android menu' refers to the permanent menu 'button' on the lower edge of your android phone.
To return from an input screen to the main screen, press Android back button.

Setup Screen
Start Time is the race time published in the event flyer usually 8 am or 9 am.
Key Time is the time posted by the club at sign-up (do not adjust for your row).
Row Number is the number the club has assigned to you.


Speeds
If the race has speed changes enter theme here.
There must always be a speed in the first speed box
If there are no speed changes, you must enter the race speed in box one



Resets
If the race has resets enter theme here.


Go
After all of the enduro data has been entered, press the Android Back Arrow
to return to main screen. Press Menu ... Go to begin tmekeeping.
Prior to race start time you will see information about when the race will begin.
Once Race time arrives, the mileage will turn green, and you will see 'GO' on the display.

Typical Display
Right now your odometer should read mile 1.4 to match the CheckPoint display value.
Note 3.2 is the next possible check point
Note the Next reset will be From mile 12.0 To Mile 14.0
Current speed average is 24 mph
Current key time is 9:03:34


Display as you approach a check
An alert is dispalyed for 15 seconds before every possible Check.
'Check Ahead' is displayed in Yellow
In the image below, you can't enter the check for another 15 seconds.
If you are on time, your odometer matches the display at 5.9 miles
If your odometer reads 5.8, you are falling behind
If your odometer reads 6.0, you are in danger of burning a check.



Display after you reach a reset
You have passed reset mile 12. Mileage has turned red to let you know you need to stop.
Mileage will continue to show the red 12 untill it's time to leave.
You have 4 minute 56 seconds remaining in the reset.
When it is time to leave - The green 'GO' will appear, mileage will turn green and begin advancing
